1.The Moneghetti District
If you want to see how some richest residents in Monaco live then this district is worth to visit. The Moneghetti District is located in the west of the principality. It is known for its tastefully designed villas with slanting terraces and beautiful gardens. The journey to the district is an adventure as the roads are cut into cliffs.
2. Visit Palais du Prince
The Palais du Prince was built in 13th century before it was a Genoese Fortress. You can visit the palace when Prince is not at home and to check that see the flag in the main tower is raised or not. If the prince is there in his palace the flag is raised. In order to enter the state apartments, it is necessary to pass through mirror gallery. The dramatic effect of succeeding mirror forms an image of long successions of the rooms. After the galleries one enters red room, furnished in style of Louis XV, with paintings by Flemish painter Jan Brenghet and Mignard and Charles le Brun. Following is the York room named after Duke of York. So you will be charmed with the magnificient culture of the palace.
3. A Tour to Jardin Exotique
It is located in Fontvielle just outside the city center. The garden was first open in 1913. Due to the warm weather there is surprise mixing of plants of Latin America and African species grow here. The garden sit high to give a look of ocean, you see lush surroundings with stunning vistas.
4. Soak in sun in Larvotto Beach
Larvotto beach is the only public beach in Monaco, it is situated close to the iconic Avenue Princesse Grace. You can swim in the waters day long or if you prefer to be out of waters then you can sun bath on strip of golden sand. There are water sports to be enjoyed like jet sking and sea kayaking.
5. See the Musée Océanographique
It took eleven years to built the foundation of Musée Océanographique which stands 90 meter above sea level. There are three aquariums, Mediterranean Aquarium, Tropical Aquarium and Shark Lagon. There are over 6000 marine life creatures. One of the signature section of the museum is the collection of scientific items that date from exploration undertaken by Prince Albert I as well as Jacques – Yves Cousteau.

The Formula One races are held here in May every year in Monte Carlo. The race is so special as it cuts through the streets of the city past Boulevard Albert I and past famous Monte Carlo Fairmont Hotel. The race is in operation since the beginning of 20th century and is definitely worth attending.

Monaco navel museum is located over the marine in Monaco. It opened it’s doors to public in 1990’s and has a range of marine related memorabilia including over 250 ships in model from Prince Rainier III donated to the museum his private collection which is a part of museum collection. The museum takes you back to time with a look at Roman Ships, Spanish Galleous, Viking Long Boats. There is even a model of Titanic and Nimitz US warships.
8. Visit Monaco Harbour
Monaco’s main barbour is located at the base of Monaco’s famous blustery cliffs. The famous port is Port de la Condamine which dates back from 1901. Yachts are parked in this harbour of the rich and moneyed residents of Monaco. The Prince’s Yacht is also located here as well. This is the top spot to check out these yachts even if you do not get a chance to board. You can have snacks and enjoy at harbour as there are a range of eateries and cafés.
9. Stroll around the Princess Grace Rose Garden
Prince Grace Rose Garden opened the doors in 1984 and was built by Prince Rainier III in the memory of his wife who was killed in the car crash. This is a visit for anyone who was a fan of American film star Grace Kelly who married the former Prince of Monaco, Prince Rainier. The park is built on 4 hectares of land and has a beautiful lake surrounded by palm trees and olive grove. You will also see 8000 rose bushes as the name of garden suggests.
10. View the Casino Square
It hosts one of the prestigious Casino of Monte Carlo which attracts the rich from all over the world. But if you do not have big money to gamble in Casino then visit to the Casino Square is the next best thing. The buildings here are illuminated in the night. It includes Hotel de la Paris, Opera House and famous Casino of Monte Carlo. There are upscale restaurants and it’s home to many live events.
