Nice Airport Guide: Easy Ways to Get from the Airport to the City Centre
10, Nov 2023
Nice sees over 5 million visits every year, so the city’s tourist infrastructure is among the best on the French Riviera. As a result, there are quite a few ways to get from Aéroport de Nice into the centre. We’ve listed some of the most popular below:
Tram - The brand new tramway runs along the Promenade des Anglais and stops at the city centre and Port Lympia, among others. Simply take tramline 2 from Terminal 1 or 2. You can buy tram and bus tickets from the vending machine on the platform for €1.50 each, or at the windows inside the terminal buildings. More information can be found here.
Bus - Nice’s airport buses take a scenic route with a sea view. Wait at the Aéroport/Promenade stop a few minutes walk from Terminal 1. If you need to, take the free shuttle from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. Bus 12 is the one to catch, and it stops much closer to Vieux Nice than the tram. Find more information on buses here.
Taxi - Taxis are great because they’ll take you right to the door of your Nice hotel or rental. Taxis wait outside Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 exits A3. The current fare for a taxi into Nice city centre is around €32.
Uber - Another easy way to get to the city centre is with ride-shares. Using the Uber app, you can book a car to pick you up outside the terminals. Prices often vary, so make sure you book early for the cheapest options.
Hire Car / VTC - For just a little more money at around €45, you can book a private airport transfer to take you into Nice city centre from the airport. If you’re driving a hire car, simply follow the road signs.
